Spellbinders Candy Cane Card Front

Hello today I am posting my first couple of projects as an Elliott's Angel.

http://hope-chances.blogspot.co.uk

It's that time of year when we must start thinking about crafting for Christmas and this Spellbinders die does all the work for you. The Candy Cane Card Front die is a two piece die set with a frame and inset featuring three lines of candy canes and sweets.

I have made a quick and simple card by matting dotty paper cut with the frame die onto my base card. Then I cut both the frame and inset from kraft card. I cut more candy canes using three different coordinating papers and layered them up using 3D foam pads. I went over the edges of the papers and card with a white ink pad.

You can find this die and many others at: http://hopeandchances.co.uk/shop/.

Elements of this die can be used to make other Christmas goodies.

Will be back soon with more projects to share xx

Bitty Blossoms

Hello although the sun has been shining I have been inside crafting for Christmas!! It has to be done (will be sharing soon).

As it has been such a beautiful day and there are still flowers in the garden thought I would share this picture I made using Spellbinders Bitty Blossoms.

After spotting a similar picture in a magazine, which I thought was rather overpriced, I thought I would have a go at making one myself. I used a box frame which I painted and distressed, cut and stuck a pretty piece of paper to the back and then made my flowers using wool felt. Quick and simple to make as the die does all the work.

Back soon with Christmas craft xx

Exciting News and Hello!!

Wow this is scary starting a blog and becoming an Elliott's Angel!!!

I am very excited to have been chosen to be part of Hope and Chances Creativity's new Design Team "Elliott's Angels". Have a look at the website to find out more about the Team http://hopeandchances.co.uk/ . So thrilled to have been given this chance and I am looking forward to a very "crafty" year ahead.

This was one of my application entries - a picture I made recently for my bathroom using one of my favourite Spellbinder dies (Spellbinders D-Lites Tweets). A nice cup of tea is now definitely required (computers and I don't get along!!!).

Will be back soon with more projects to share xx
